Surrounding ground covering: Dried Palmetto fronds, surviving bricks collected from garden follies. Bricks were collected from McLeod Plantation, Charleston S.C. Site Location: Work Yard (between slave quarters, stable left, living quarters right) View: North Facing, The property is surrounded by a brick wall similar to other walls throughout the Charleston Peninsula erected in response to Denmark ’s Rebellion of 1882.
